| Larsen & Toubro – First Company in the World certified for ISO/IEC 27001 Larsen & Toubro Limited (E&C Division) along with its Joint Ventures such as L&T Chiyoda and L&T Sargent & Lundy and e Engineering solutions Business Centre is the FIRST COMPANY IN THE WORLD CERTIFIED TO ISO/IEC 27001:2005 – IT Security Management System. The certification took place on the day one of the release of the standard from Bureau Veritas Quality International, UK and the list of eminent personalities who have complimented this achievement includes Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Hon’ble President of India. Responding to IT Security – International User Group based in UK and for ISO in Geneva Mr.K. | A new Design Center has been inaugurated on 16th July, 2005, in Faridabad by Mr. P K Mukherji, the Chief Executive of L&T-Sargent & Lundy Limited. This is a step towards the expansion plan of L&T-S&L over the next 5 years. The Faridabad office is now operational. |
