Technical and Financial Due Diligence

The objective of an Independent Engineering assignment is to provide a complete assessment of the power project on the basis of technical and financial evaluation, so as to provide the stakeholder (the Owner, Lender or any other individual) the necessary assurance of suitability and viability of the proposed Project. This is carried out through a techno-economic due diligence which covers:

  • Independent assessment of technical parameters, components and contracts including availability and suitability of land for the power plant as well as the associated forward and backward linkages (fuel, water, power evacuation, etc.)
  • Evaluation of performance parameters based on the various contracts.
  • Review of project cost and project financials.
  • Review of technical and financial risk assessment and recommendation on key issues impacting stakeholder’s interest.
