Mechanical Engineers should have experience in basic and detailed design of Power Plants, Waste-to-Energy Plants, or Water Treatment Plants.
The engineer should have a solid understanding of the main steam cycle of supercritical plants, combined cycle power plants, feedwater pumps, condensers, gas turbines, steam turbines, HRSG, and boilers.
Engineers with Balance of Plant (BOP) experience should have worked in steel plants, power plants, or chemical industries with systems such as cooling towers, CW pumps, HVAC, fire protection systems, and water treatment plants.
Experience in the conceptual, basic, and detailed design of Balance of Plant systems, including cooling water systems, closed cooling water systems, instrument air/service air, chemical dosing, fuel oil systems, fuel gas systems, and water transportation systems.
Knowledge of system equipment such as heat exchangers, tank design, compressors, fans, blowers, pumps, gas compressors and conditioning equipment, and specialities like strainers, pressure-reducing valves, control valves, relief valves, etc.
Engineering responsibilities will involve preparation of design criteria, P&IDs, equipment and pipe sizing calculations, system and control descriptions, technical specifications, bid evaluations, and vendor drawings.

Electrical Engineers should have knowledge of preparing key SLDs, DCDs, relays and metering, and proposal and detailed engineering documents. They should be able to provide sizing and procurement support for electrical equipment such as transformers, batteries and chargers, UPS, cables, motors, earthing, lightning, lighting, and electrical support for mechanical packages. They must be technically sound.
Experience in sizing calculations, including transformer sizing, HV and LV cable sizing, battery and charger sizing, grounding calculations, lighting calculations, lightning calculations, and diesel generator sizing calculations.
Review of vendor drawings for transformers, motors, switchgear, panels, control cables, local push-button stations, cathodic protection, plant communication systems, emergency diesel generators, and generators.
