Mr Suresh Kumar Narang, Executive Vice President of the L&T group and Head – L&T Energy-CarbonLite Solutions, brings with him a rich and diverse experience spanning forty years and various leadership roles, including a deep expertise across the complete spectrum of power sector operations – Thermal Power project design and EPC Execution, operations, commercial management, coal mine development, and consulting. It is a career defined by mastery across the power sector.
Mr Narang joined L&T in 2010 as a Project Director, Nabha Power Ltd, where he oversaw the construction, start-up and commissioning of the project. Post this stint, he manged portfolio of various supercritical power projects being executed on EPC basis at L&T Power (now L&T Energy-CarbonLite Solutions), for leading utilities such as NTPC, RRVUNL, and MPPGCL. He was also responsible for commercial and engineering functions. Notably, he played a key role in the execution of India’s first Ultra Supercritical Power Project at Khargone for NTPC. Subsequently in 2021, he returned to Nabha Power as Chief Executive, successfully transforming it into a profitable, operationally benchmarked, and one of India’s most efficient supercritical thermal power plants. NPL also earned the title of ‘Best Performing Supercritical Power Plant in India with the Lowest Auxiliary Power Consumption’, from Centre for Science and Environment (CSE). Since April 2026, Mr Narang is at the helm of L&T Energy-CarbonLite Solutions, steering the organisation towards becoming the frontrunner in powering India’s energy security. A graduate of Punjab Engineering College with Honours in Electrical Engineering (1984), Mr Narang has continuously invested in his leadership development. He completed the Senior Executive Programme at London Business School, was nominated for L&T's Global CEO Program delivered by faculty of Harvard Business School and participated in the Management Development Programme for Senior Executives at IIM Ahmedabad.
